privacy
The fine grain.
The short version: I collect what you type into the inquiry form, plus optional analytics if you say yes to the cookie notice. Nothing is sold, nothing is creepy, and photos you upload to Color Study never leave your browser.
what I collect
- Inquiry form data. Whatever you enter in the inquiry or portrait forms: name, email, optional phone, event details, budget range, and your message. Sent to me by email so I can reply.
- Analytics, only if you accept. If you accept the cookie notice, Google Analytics 4 records anonymized page views and a handful of interaction events (which pages you visit, where the inquiry flow loses people). Decline and none of it loads.
- Color Study photos: nothing. Images you upload there are processed entirely in your browser and are never transmitted anywhere.
how it is used
Inquiry details are used to reply to you and prepare a proposal, nothing else. Analytics are used in aggregate to understand which pages earn their keep. I do not sell personal information, and I do not use it for advertising.
third parties involved
- Formspree relays inquiry form submissions to my email.
- Google Analytics 4 provides opt-in analytics, with IP anonymization on.
- Vercel hosts the site and, like any host, keeps standard server logs.
your choices and requests
You can decline analytics in the cookie notice and change nothing else about the site. California residents: you may ask what I hold about you, ask me to delete it, and rest assured I do not sell it. For any of that, or anything else, write to deejay.bui@berkeley.edu. I answer faster than I cull RAWs.
Plain-language summary, updated by hand, no lawyers were harmed. If something here worries you, email me and we will sort it out.
